Hi friends and fellow creatives,

 

During this time we are doing our best to make sure that both your family as well as ours stays healthy and safe. We will do this by meeting and exceeding recommendations put forth by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the CDC. We will continue to operate in the most responsible manner possible while providing this personal care service to you and your family. Here's what we are doing to reduce exposure to or the risk of spreading COVID-19 in the studio:

Cleaning Protocols

  • We have removed all objects from each table and will only be serving materials needed for your project.

  • We will be thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing all tools that are used (brushes, easels, instruction sheets, etc.) every day.

  • We have temporarily removing aprons from customer usage and will be covering our fabric table cloths with vinyl plastic for easier clean up.

  • Before opening each day, all surfaces will be cleaned and disinfected while wearing disposable gloves and we will be washing our hands after gloves are removed. These surfaces include but are not limited to: all door handles, light switch covers, chairs, tablecloths, bathroom faucet, sink, and toilet. We are wiping public surfaces before and after they are touched.

  • The disinfectant we will continue to use is a spray bottle filled with a 1/3 cup of bleach mixed with 1 gallon of water, saturating the surface to ensure clean contact time of at least one minute before drying the surface with a clean piece of paper towel.

  • Daily cleaning and disinfecting of the premises are conducted in compliance with CDC protocols.

  • We are fully disinfecting all tables before serving each customer and at closing time.

 

Safety Procedures

  • We are currently taking online reservations only, no walk-ins will be accepted. No exceptions.

  • Only customers who are painting are allowed in the studio. Non-customer visitors are not allowed in the studio during this time.

  • Seating and reservations will be allowed for a maximum studio capacity of 35%

  • Employees and customers alike are required to wear face coverings over their nose and mouth at all times in the studio.

  • Social distance of at least 6-ft. will be maintained between non-household individuals.

  • Reduced number of tables have been spaced 6-ft. apart to ensure social distancing.

  • Employees will wash hands hourly.

  • Customers will have access to wash hands as well as alcohol-based hand sanitizer (at least 60% alcohol).

  • While the studio will be open for pick-ups during designated hours, we will be leaving the front door open to reduce touching by multiple people.

  • Our back door will be open to improve ventilation.

  • Courtesy disposable gloves will be provided during the art project selection process. However, we would be more than happy to provide a concierge shopping experience, selecting your items and delivering them to your table. This is to discourage the handling of any items that are not being purchased immediately.

  • All members of staff will have their temperatures taken daily at the beginning of each shift and mid-day. All temperatures will be recorded in a daily log.

  • Payment options are touch-less transactions only, including: Venmo, Cashapp, Zelle, Paypal, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay.

  • We are only a offering paperless ticketing option. We will record your purchase in our ticketing system and you will be asked to take a picture of each receipt for your records. We will message/email you in 1 to 2 weeks when your project has been fired.

  • No returns – all sales are final.

Q&A for New Studio Procedures

 

Do I have to reserve a table online?

Yes. During this unprecedented time, we are not able to serve walk-in clients. Please check out our reservation tab for more details and to reserve your spot!

 

Do I get to bring my canvas, mosaic, or pottery home with me after I make it?

All canvas and mosaics are available to take home after completion. (For mosaics, we will send you home with a complementary grout kit.) We will need to keep your pottery piece for one to two weeks in order to fire it. After the one or two week period has passed, you are welcome to pick up your piece during dedicated studio  pickup hours or by appointment.

Will you call me when my piece is ready?

No. We will only call you if you forget to pick up your piece. 

What if I forget to pick up my canvas, pottery piece, or other personal item left in the studio?

We will give you a curtesy call to remind you of your piece, but after 60 days all items will be donated to a local charity. 

Can you ship my finished pieces to me? 

Yes. For an additional $25 shipping and handling charge, we are happy to ship your item anywhere within the United States via USPS. For multiple items, there may be an additional charge. 

Can I use my pottery after I bring it home?

Absolutely! After we fire your pottery it is food safe and beverage safe. However we recommend that you hand wash your items.

Do I need to bring any art supplies?

No. All materials are included. Creativita provides everything needed to make art your day or night out.

Can I play my own music or media in the studio?

Only if you have headphones. We strive to create a welcoming environment to all guests which means we will supply a variety of music for many tastes.

What should I wear?

A face mask! It is highly recommended that you wear clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting paint on. We are an art studio and we have paint that could stay on your clothes forever. We are not responsible for any paint that may get on your clothes or personal belongings.

Can I bring my own adult beverage?

Yes, you may bring your own beverage while exploring your creative side. Please be sure to bring everything needed to open and enjoy your beverage including cups and openers. (You must be 21+ to consume any beverages as stated by the laws governing the State of Illinois.)

Can we reserve the studio for our own private event?

Currently all reservations would need to meet social distancing standards as outlined by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Please call Jessica (312-343-2149) if you are interested in planning your private event.

Can a creativita professional travel to our event?

Due to COVID-19 we are unable to travel offsite but are happy to host a virtual event via ZOOM. Simply book online or call Jessica to plan your event today!

Do you hold Corporate Team Builders?

Absolutely! Contact us today and we will work with you to create a personalized, team bonding experience for all your team members. We currently offer virtual team building events or parties and team building experiences to-go. All supplies are included. Contact us to plan your team builder today.

Do you have parking?

While we do not have a parking lot, parking is abundant within one block of the studio. In addition to street parking, there are Village of Forest Park parking lots directly behind the studio. Please be sure to check rules and times at the payment boxes located in the village lots and on Madison Street.
